All Artists Voices
Deserve to be Heard!

Since our inception in 2021, we have worked tirelessly to support BIPOC artists in finding a seat at the National arts advocacy table. Our collective efforts aim to transform the arts landscape into a more inclusive and equitable space for all.

Our Story

In fall of 2021, a collective of predominantly BIPOC arts leaders, organizers and artists came together to discuss the state of arts advocacy in the US. This was during a time of tension nationally with the pandemic in full swing, racial uprisings and challenges to long standing national arts organizations that had historically been the voice for the larger arts community. It was a time of change with many calls for liberation across the sector. The core group of about 25 folks who were meeting monthly quickly grew to a coalition of over 80 people, who with the support of a few national funders began a journey to discover what a BIPOC-led arts advocacy project could look like.
